Suction mounting with a PIVOT case

I have used PIVOT suction mounts in different aircraft. PIVOT sells several versions, including the standard Single Suction Cup Mount, Low Profile, and Shorty. They are separate configurations; the product name matters when ordering.

The common case connection is a practical reason to consider a suction mount alongside the leg strap. The same compatible PIVOT case can attach to either mounting arrangement. For someone who already owns the case, a second mount provides another placement option without buying a different tablet holder.

Standard mount and plate options

The standard Single Suction Cup Mount uses a locking suction base and a PIVOT mounting plate. PIVOT lists options with either a PPK-1 or PPK-XP plate; it specifies reinforced, UV-resistant polycarbonate for the latter.

Check which plate is included in the selected variant. A listing for a replacement plate is different from a complete mount, and the tablet case is a separate part of the setup.

Choosing the configuration

The standard listing specifies a non-porous mounting surface. Select the mount for the intended location and follow the instructions for that configuration. The standard, Low Profile, and Shorty models should not be treated as identical assemblies.

If you are comparing options, use the product listings to confirm the base, arm, and mounting plate supplied with each one. Compare complete configurations rather than the price of a mount against the price of an individual replacement part.
